Mary Georgina Powell, born June 22, 1942, Florence Ontario passed away peacefully with family on April 10, 2017 at the Four Countries Hospital, Newbury Ontario. Pre-deceased by her parents George and Stella, brothers Ronald and Clare.
Mary travelled the world with her sister Joan to new and exciting adventures such as; Austria, Germany Russia, Australia and the warmer parts of the United States. Mary’s passion was her love of animals, she always had a collection of exotic birds and after retirement from Aviva Insurance (claims manager) began her cherished affair with award winning Pugs. Sadly missed by loving sister Joan (Tom), brother George, sister -in -laws Jean, Lily and nieces Sherri, Debora, Loretta, Anne, Lidia and nephews Phil, George, Dale and David.
Mary was a generous person with a big heart who truly enjoyed her family, friends and her many animals fondly called the zoo. Cremation has taken place. A Graveside Service will be held at Shetland Cemetery at a later date.
