Wallaceburg’s Joe Perry completed his third straight Boston Marathon on Monday, April 17.
“I’m alive,” the 48-year-old posted on social media.
Perry finished the race in 3:56:24, putting him in 14,185th place overall and 1,773th place in his division.
Last year Perry finished the race in three hours, 29 minutes and four seconds, slightly slower than his 2015 time of 3:21:30.
“Heat hit me like a hammer today,” Perry said.
“No regrets. Experiences like this don’t come around every day. Thank for for all the amazing support. I’m a lucky guy.”
Perry raced as part of Team Hoyt once again this year.
