As a result of an online investigation regarding the distribution of child pornography the Sarnia Police Service Internet Child Exploitation Unit (ICE Unit) began their investigation into the distribution of child pornography that was taking place in Sarnia.

This investigation began in February, 2017.

As a result of the information gathered, members of the ICE Unit, Criminal Investigation Branch, Electronic Crime Branch, Forensic Identification Unit, and General Patrol executed a search warrant at residence in the City Of Sarnia.

Sarnia police officials say officers were able seize various forms of electronic devices because of the warrant.
