A pair of cousins in Wallaceburg have decided to donate their locks to children in need.
Izzy Buchan, 6, and Kassie Laprise-Buchan, 5, both expressed interest to their parents about making a donation before they each got their hair cut.
“She has wanted to cut her hair, but she wanted to give it to someone to help them,” said DeeJay Laprise, Kassie’s mom.
“So we did some research and we decided to go with 360 Hair out of BC. They will take hair from 8 inches or more. And they make wigs for children 19 years and younger for free.”
Kassie ended up donating 11 inches, after she got her hair cut last month by Anel at Images of You in Wallaceburg.
Steve Buchan told the Sydenham Current his daughter Izzy ended up getting her hair cut last month by Tracy at Crew Cuts in Wallaceburg.
She ended up donating over 12 inches of hair to Wigs For Kids out of St. Catharines.
“We are very proud of her,” Steve said.
