At one time or another you have likely caught yourself daydreaming about being some sort of superhero.

There you were, with the big ‘S’ on your chest and your cape flowing in the wind as you swooped down and rescued some damsel in distress.

But alas, we do not all get to do great things.

However, we can all benefit from some sage advice from the late Mother Theresa, who said, “Not all of us can do great things, but we can do small things with great love.”

Mother Theresa was a master of this practice, which is why the world views her legacy as one of greatness.

In Zechariah 4:10 the Lord told the prophet Zechariah, “Do not despise these small beginnings.”

Life is composed of a series of small things that others engaged in with great love, leading to life-changing results.

Have you ever wondered who taught Albert Einstein to read?

Or what about Michael Phelps’ first swimming lesson?

Abraham Lincoln’s first foray into politics was a complete failure.

You see, we cannot all change the world by accomplishing something monumental, but perhaps if we just considered that our small part, done with love and commitment, would play a significant part, then we would set ourselves to these humble tasks with great determination.

You have a whole week in front of you which is full of opportunities to do small things with great love.

What are you waiting for?

Get out there and start changing your world, one small step at a time!
