Fentanyl seized after drug bust in Sarnia

The Sarnia Police Service Vice Unit began an investigation into the trafficking of drugs by individuals in the City of Sarnia.

Sarnia Police officials say on April 21, members of the Vice Unit with assistance from General Patrol officers and officers from the COPPS Unit, arrested 2 males and a female related to the investigation that afternoon.

At approximately 11:30 p.m., on April 21, officers executed a warrant in the 400 block of Christina Street in the City of Sarnia.

A hotel room was searched at the address and officers located a quantity of Fentanyl patches along with Canadian Currency.

Secondary to the search and arrests made approximately 22 Fentanyl patches, of various strengths, were seized along with approximately 4 grams of cocaine.

The approximate street value of drugs seized is believed to be $6,000. The amount of Canadian Currency seized was approximately also $6,000.

A 26-year-old Lambton County resident and a 33-year-old Brampton resident, were charged with Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking and Possession of a Controlled Substance.

A 24-year-old Sarnia resident was charged with two counts of Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking and Possession of a Controlled Substance.

All three parties were held for a bail hearing.
