Griffith, Marlies set to battle in Game #3

Wallaceburg’s Seth Griffith will hit the ice tonight for the Toronto Marlies in Game #3 of their best-of-seven series against the Albany Devils.

The series is ties at one game apiece, with Albany taking Game #1 by a score of 3-0, and Toronto taking Game #2 by a score of 6-2.

The 24-year-old forward had one assist in the Game #2 win.

Griffith enjoyed a solid season with the Marlies after bouncing back-and-forth in the NHL this year.
Griffith was released by the Boston Bruins in the pre-season, picked up by the Toronto Maple Leafs, released by the Leafs, picked up by the Florida Panthers, released by Florida and then be re-claimed by the Leafs, before joining the Marlies in the AHL.

In 38 games for the Marlies, Griffith scored 10 goals and added 34 assists for 44 points.

In 21 games for the Panthers, Griffith recorded 5 assists. He also skated in three games with the Maple Leafs at the beginning of the year.

Game #3 for Griffith and the Marlies gets underway at 7 p.m. at Ricoh Coliseum in Toronto.
