Red Devils top Pacers in Jr. ‘B’ lacrosse action

The Wallaceburg Red Devils remain undefeated (3-0-1) after coming from behind to beat the Point Edward Pacers (2-2-0) on Friday night.

The final score was 8-5 in favour of the home club.

The Pacers had built a 4-2 lead in the second period, before Wallaceburg started clawing their way back. Wallaceburg scored four straight goals to grab the lead, and they never looked back.

Head coach Justin Durston said it was a big divisional win for the club.

Cory Lucier led the way with 5 points, 2 goals, 3 assists, while Tyler Brown had a 4-point night in his Red Devils debut, with 2 goals and 2 assists.

Evan Mathany scored 1 goal and added 2 assists for 3 points.

Madisen General, Vern Hill and Tyler Davis also scored for Wallaceburg.

Tanner Cole shipped in with 3 assists.

Noble Jacobs made 33 saves in the victory.

The team will travel to Niagara on Saturday night, before heading to Windsor on Sunday. Both games get started at 7 p.m.
