The Wallaceburg Airhawks captured a bronze medal last weekend in the Ontario Cup 2017 U19 Women’s Championship.
The team played in the division one tournament at Laurier University in Waterloo.
“It was a total team effort,” said Janine Day, head coach of the team.
“I played lines, which is impressive at that level. It shows the skill of all of the kids.”
Teams from Caledon, Tecumseh, Oakville, Timmins and Barrie also took part in the tourney.
