Moving Sale: 30% off storewide at Home & Cottage Interiors

* Moving Sale! 30% Off Storewide * Except all Annie Sloan and General Finishes products *

Home & Cottage Interiors is moving to make room for The Vintage Market which will open in a few weeks.

“The ‘move’ is actually just next door,” admits store manager, Diane Galvin. “But a move is a move. We still have to box everything up and move all this furniture, so we would rather sell it.”

The new space for Home & Cottage Interiors is smaller, so downsizing their current inventory of furniture is very necessary.

The Vintage Market which will take over the current space, will feature pre-owned furniture and decorator accents at great prices.

“So many people are looking for pieces that they can refinish or paint to suit their taste and décor, it will be a great compliment to what we do at Home & Cottage Interiors,” said Galvin.

Home & Cottage Interiors is the only Annie Sloan Chalk Paint Stockist in Chatham/Kent and they plan to expand their collection of furniture refinishing products.

“We want to become that one-stop-shop for the DIY enthusiasts,” added Galvin.

“Customers will be able to purchase their furniture at The Vintage Market, then come next door to get the products and expert advice they need to upscale their new pieces themselves.”

Home & Cottage Interiors will continue to offer the service of custom painting furniture for clients as well as their popular Workshops. “Currently we are offering four different workshops as private Parties. You can pick the date and time, but you must guarantee a minimum of 4 participants.”

Home & Cottage Interiors has been testing the market for the need for a quality used furniture store for the past two months and their findings have been very encouraging.

“Eventually, we plan to purchase all the inventory we carry outright, be initially we are accepting furniture on a consignment basis,” says Galvin.

The space that Home & Cottage Interiors is moving into currently hosts their workshop and classroom so some minor renovations are required.

“The biggest thing we need to do is paint the floor, which requires, emptying the space,” Galvin said with a laugh.

“We are hoping that this sale will help clear things out so we can get the renovations completed and everything moved over within the next few weeks.”

The Vintage Market plans to open in June with a Grand Opening Celebration.
