Red Devils thump the Blue Devils

The Wallaceburg Red Devils took care of business on Thursday night, as they topped the London Blue Devils 21-5.

Evan Mathany had a 7-point night, with 3 goals and 4 assists to lead the Wallaceburg squad, who out-shot London 62-18.

Tyler Brown had 6 points with 4 goals and 2 assists, Brendan Johnston had 6 points with 2 goals and 4 assists and Bronson Bea also had a 6-point night with 1 goal and 5 assists.

Mitch Miller, Kyle Dawson and Nik Medley all scored twice.

Matt Cousins, Brock Daugherty, Cory Lucier, Matt Gorry and Carter Hastings all scored one goal apiece.

Emily Vandamme got the win in net for Wallaceburg, making 9 saves in 50:40 minutes of work.

Noble Jacobs made 4 saves for Wallaceburg, after Vandamme left with an injury.

200 people packed into Wallaceburg Memorial Arena for the game.

The Red Devils (6-3-1) remain in second place in the Far West Division of the Ontario Junior ‘B’ Lacrosse Association.

Wallaceburg will travel to London on Tuesday in their next match-up.
