Teens run out of gas, get busted with pot

Two teenagers face pot possession charges after getting busted early Saturday morning in St. Clair Township.

Lambton OPP officials say on May 20 at approximately 6:15 a.m. officers responded to the area of St. Clair Parkway, St. Clair Township in relation to a vehicle that had run out of gas.

The OPP were called as passing motorists were concerned that the occupants of the vehicle were allegedly standing within the roadway flagging down traffic requiring assistance.

Upon OPP arrival, the vehicle and the occupants were investigated in relation to the original complaint.

Upon further investigation, the OPP discovered that the occupants were allegedly in possession of an unlawful narcotic, that being marijuana.

As a result, two 17-year-olds were charged with alleged possession of a narcotic and are required to attend Youth Court at the Sarnia Court House.

As per the Youth Criminal Justice Act, the youths, nor any particulars of the case will be released that could result in the youths being identified.
