George Russel Eagleson, a resident of Wallaceburg, passed away at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance, Public General Campus on Sunday, May 28, 2017 at the age of 71.
George is the son of the late Albert and Anna (Churcher) Eagleson. Beloved husband of Esther (Kerr) Eagleson. Loved father of John Eagleson, Carol Versteeg (Jason) of Brantford and Ann Eagleson. Sadly missed by his grandchildren, Keagan, Kara, Zander, Tonya and Luke Versteeg. Brother of Barbara Clark (Erroll) of Courtright, Margaret Wilcox (Wayne) of Chatham, Don Eagleson (Karen), Diane Hooper, Linda Malott (Garth) of Sarnia. Also survived by many nieces & nephews. George was a long time employee of Waltec Industries and was retired from Crown Metal Packing.
The family will receive relatives and friends at the HAYCOCK-CAVANAGH FUNERAL HOME, 409 Nelson Street in Wallaceburg from 2-4 & 7-9 PM on Wednesday. The Pnyx Lodge #312 Wallaceburg will hold a Masonic Service at 6:45 PM on Wednesday. The funeral will be celebrated by Rev. Kent Babbey at the funeral home on Thursday, June 1 at 11 AM. Interment to follow at Riverview Cemetery.
