Autograph session following Red Devils regular season home finale

The Wallaceburg Red Devils are inviting their fans on the floor with them for an autograph session on Saturday at Wallaceburg Memorial Arena The will follow their final regular season home game against the St. Catharines Spartans.

The players will be signing autographs directly after the game, which starts at 7 p.m., and will be seated at tables on the arena floor.

Autograph cards will be available for the kids to take around and get their favourite players to sign.

It is also fan and sponsor appreciation night at the area.

Jamie Knight, an assistant coach with the club, said the support for the team this year has been phenomenal.

He said many sponsors have bought tickets and donated to local youth.

“For example, George Langstaff Construction bought tickets and donated them to kids at A.A. Wright,” Knight said.

“Aecon’s tickets go to family members of people from out of town.”

Wallaceburg is second in the entire 25-team Ontario Junior ‘B’ Lacrosse League in attendance this season.

In nine home games this year so far, the Red Devils have had approximately 3,490 people come through the gates, an average of 387 fans per game.

They trail Six Nations who has packed in 4,976 fans in nine games, an average of 552 fans per game.

Windsor 20, Red Devils 7

Windsor got some revenge on the Red Devils on Tuesday, as the Clippers pounded the Wallaceburg squad 20-7.

Carter Hastings and Kyle Dawson each has 2 goals and 2 assists to lead Wallaceburg.

Windsor (12-6-1) sit in first place in the Far West Division with 25 points, while Wallaceburg (11-6-1) sits in second place with 23 points.

After Wallaceburg hosts Spartan on Saturday in Wallaceburg, they’ll travel to Guelph to battle the Regals in their season finale.
