Canada 150 Community Infrastructure Program

Wallaceburg – The Wallaceburg and District Historical Society announced that they were able to continue with the museum’s Educational Institutes Commemoration Project thanks to a grant from the Federal Economic Development Agency for Southern Ontario’s Canada 150 Community Infrastructure Program.

The Project will help to both preserve the heritage of Wallaceburg area schools and enhance the utility and accessibility of the Crawford Langstaff Parkette.

“We are thankful to the Federal Government for financial assistance to help to preserve the Wallaceburg and district heritage!” exclaimed Members of the Society.

The Wallaceburg and District Historical Society was established in 1978. The Society Board of Directors, museum staff, volunteers and members, with the help of valued financial support and assistance from private donors and the Federal Economic Development Agency for Southern Ontario, can continue with their endeavour to preserve the past for the future.

A completion ceremony to celebrate this project will be held on June 24, 2017 from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. in the Crawford Langstaff Parkette of the Wallaceburg and District Museum at 505 King Street, Wallaceburg, Ontario. Everyone is invited to attend this event.
