Chatham-Kent Police Service officials say in October 2016, a woman was released from custody for the following offences:

Police say on Sunday, June 11, at approximately 7 p.m., the same woman was walking on Murray Street in Chatham when she saw a female known to her, seated within the front passenger seat of a vehicle, which was also travelling on Murray St.

As that vehicle went driving by, the woman allegedly took a black folding pocket knife out of her purse, unfolded it and threw it at the female in the vehicle.

The female did not suffer any injuries, however, the knife almost hit her arm.

Police were called, but the whereabouts of the woman was unknown.

Therefore, a warrant for her arrest was issued.

On Tuesday, June 27, just before 4 p.m. an officer observed the woman walking on Dufferin Avenue and Selkirk Street in Wallaceburg and arrested the woman on the warrant.

The 23-year-old Blenheim woman was charged with the following offences:

– Possession of a Weapon for Dangerous Purpose
