Mr. Gerald Russel Cross, passed away suddenly on Saturday, July 8, 2017 at his Lake Erie Retreat, at the age of 66 years.
He was born in Chatham and was a son of the late Lloyd and Irene (Dubuque) Cross. Beloved husband of 42 years of Bonnie (Robinet) Cross. Dear father of Kimberly “Kim” Cross and the late Sean Cross. Step-father of Ritch Kanally and Steven (Dana) Kanally. Sadly missed by 10 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. He is survived by a sister Joyce, two brothers Travis and Lance and his mother-law Leona Robinet. Predeceased by a baby sister Carol Ann.
Gerald was a Truck Driver for all his life. He was an avid fan of the NASCAR Series following the Petty Race Team #‘s 43, 44, 45.
He is resting at the Eric F. Nicholls Funeral Home Ltd. 639 Elgin St., Wallaceburg. Following his wishes, cremation has taken place. The family will receive relatives and friends on Saturday July 15, 2017, from 1-2 p.m. at the funeral home. A service will then take place at 2 p.m. followed by a procession to Shetland Cemetery for the committal of ashes.
