A truck driver faces charges following a fiery crash on the 401 on Thursday.
OPP officials say on July 13 around 5:45 p.m. Chatham-Kent Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a tractor trailer collision on Highway 401 near Communication Road.
Investigation revealed a westbound tractor trailer had allegedly lost control and struck the north side cement barrier which caused it to bounce off and strike the centre barrier.
As a result, the centre barrier was pushed into the eastbound lanes and the tractor trailer caught on fire.
The driver of the tractor trailer did not suffer any injuries.
As a result, the driver, a 57-year-old Windsor man, was charged with careless driving contrary to the highway traffic act.
