Vincent Chordash

Vincent Chordash, a resident of Sombra, died peacefully at Blue Water Health in Sarnia on Monday, July 3, 2017 at the age of 69.

Vincent is the son of the late Mihajlo and Kata (Snajder) Cordas. Beloved husband of Pauline. Dear stepfather of Mike Legue of Windsor. Brother of Elizabeth Stebbins (late Lavar), Goldie Mitchell (Bob), John Chordash (Pam) and Harold Chordash (Beth). He will be missed by his many nieces and nephews and beloved pets Brindo, Sassy, Toby and Mishka.

Vincent drove tanker truck delivering petroleum product for Shell Oil and then Harmac. As a young man, Vincent enjoyed motorcycles and touring on his Harley Davidson and playing hockey as a goalie for Mooretown. Later in life, he lived for fishing and salmon derbies and then singing and playing the guitar and harmonica around the fire at their campsite.

The burial of Vincent’s cremated remains in Riverside Cemetery and the Celebration of Vincent’s life at the Sombra Community Centre will be announced at a later date. Arrangements entrusted to the HAYCOCK-CAVANAGH FUNERAL HOME, 409 Nelson Street in Wallaceburg 519.627.3231.
