A Walpole Island woman was arrested at the casino in Dresden on an outstanding warrant.
Chatham-Kent Police Service officials said in May 2017, a woman was released from custody for the offences of theft under $5,000 and possession of property obtained by a crime under $5,000.
She was required to attend court on June 16, 2017, but allegedly failed to do so.
Therefore, a warrant was issued for her arrest.
Last night around 8:30 p.m. police responded to Gateway Casinos located at 255 Park Street in Dresden, as employees observed the woman who they knew had a warrant out or her arrest.
When the officer arrived, he immediately observed the woman inside the lobby and arrested her on the outstanding warrant.
A 20-year-old Walpole Island woman has been charged with fail to attend to court in addition to her previous charges of theft under $5,000 and possession under $5,000.
She was transported to Chatham-Kent Police Service Headquarters and later released with a court date of August 8, 2017.
