Four busted after breaking into a vehicle

Four people were brought into custody after allegedly breaking into a vehicle in Chatham.

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials said on July 23 during the early morning, Chatham-Kent Police were dispatched to a theft on Richmond St. in Chatham.

Police say four people had allegedly broken into a vehicle and fled in a pick-up truck.

A 26-year-old man, a 22-year-old man, a 23-year-old man and a 21-year-old woman, all from Chatham, were located in the area.

The four suspects were arrested for theft and found to be in possession of stolen property and break and enter tools.

The four were transported to Chatham-Kent Police Headquarters and released with conditions and a court date.
