Fall home decor workshops offered

Wallaceburg based business, Home & Cottage Interiors, is accepting reservations for one of their fall Workshops.

“Last year we launched a Christmas Sign Workshop in late October and were completely overwhelmed by the interest and response,” said Diane Galvin, manager of the store.

“So this year we wanted to get an earlier start and offer three different Workshops.”

The first workshop features a reversible decorative sign that has a snowman on one side and a
scarecrow on the other.

The Scarecrow would look great hanging on your front door until November and then you can just turn it around so the snowman can greet your guests throughout the rest of the winter.

The workshops run on Wednesday and Thursday evenings from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. beginning on September 6.

“We will offer eight workshops in September featuring this design,” Galvin said.

They can accommodate up to 12 participants for class and will book private parties subject to availability.

The cost for the workshop is $60 and includes tax, drinks and snacks.

“It’s a very social outing,” says Galvin.

“The participants enjoy a fun evening out and get to take home a great creation for their own home or to give as a very unique gift.”

Home & Cottage Interiors often get requests for ‘private parties’ because people are always looking for different things to do with their friends.

“We aren’t offering any additional dates for private parties,” Galvin said.

“But people can book one of the dates available for their group, provided no one else has already purchased a seat for that night.”

Home & Cottage Interiors will offer two additional Christmas Projects as well, one in October and a different one in November.

The new projects will be promoted on their Facebook Page and here, in the Sydenham Current.

“We also do a lot of custom signs for customers and receive a lot of orders for Christmas, so we won’t be running any workshops in December,” Galvin said.

Home & Cottage Interiors is located at 1964 Dufferin Ave – which is west of Wallaceburg just
passed Fairfield Park Nursing Home.

They are open Tuesday, Wednesday & Friday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Thursdays from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
