Road rage incident leads to arrest

An incident involving road rage has led to an arrest in Chatham-Kent.

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege that on Saturday, August 5, a man was driving his motorcycle within the city of Chatham when he observed his ex-common-law with another man on that other man’s motorcycle.

The man allegedly accelerated towards the other man’s motorcycle and struck them.

Non-life threatening injuries were suffered, along with damage caused to both motorcycles.

Yesterday at 5:30 p.m. the 66-year-old Thamesville man was arrested and charged with two counts of dangerous driving causing bodily harm and two counts of assault with a weapon.

He was transported to Chatham-Kent Police Service Headquarters where he has been held for a bail hearing.
