Rollover crash on the 401 leads to charge

A Windsor man faces charges after a rollover crash on the 401 in Chatham-Kent this week.

OPP officials say on August 16 at around 7:15 p.m. Chatham-Kent Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a motor vehicle collision on Highway 401 near Duart Road.

Investigation revealed a westbound motor vehicle had allegedly lost control, entered the centre median and rolled onto its roof.

The motor vehicle came to rest in the eastbound passing lanes.

The driver and passenger were transported to local hospital where they were treated for minor injuries

As a result of the investigation, the 22-year-old male driver from Windsor, was charged with careless driving contrary to the Highway Traffic Act.
