More speeding tickets have been handed out after more traffic enforcement by the Chatham-Kent Police Service in Charing Cross.
Police officials say on Friday morning, the Chatham-Kent Police Traffic Unit conducted speed enforcement again on Charing Cross Road.
In just 2.5 hours, 31 tickets were issued for speeding.
“This is the second time in three days that our Traffic Unit has conducted laser in this area in an effort to keep our roads safe,” police officials stated in a press release.
“The Chatham-Kent Police Service would like to remind all motorists that Charing Cross Road is currently seeing an increase in traffic volume due to the construction at the overpass of Communication Road and Highway 401. Please slow down and obey the posted speed limit signs.”
