The Wallaceburg & District Council For The Arts will wrap up their inaugural season of the Outdoor Summer Concert Series this coming Tuesday night, August 22, in Library Park.

The finale will feature a beefed up edition of the weekly concert, showcasing three local acts, instead of two.

Wallaceburg’s Travis Laur will play an acoustic set, followed by the Neil Malcolm Band and Vinyl Revival.

“We are tremendously pleased with our first season,” said Dave Elliott, president of the council.

“The local support has been fantastic and the talent we’ve had on stage is spectacular.”

The concert gets underway at 6 p.m. and is open to the public, with free admission.

The finale will also be the final week to support Rick’s Ride For Hope with a BBQ benefitting the Ronald McDonald House of London.

Also Lee Marshall, a DJ with 99.1, might be chopping his long locks during the finale.

Marshall and the local radio station are raising funds for Rick’s Ride For Hope on Monday, August 21.

The one day fundraiser aims to raise $5,000.

If successful, Marshall will have his hair cut in front of the concert series audience.

All funds will be donated to Rick’s Ride For Hope and Marshal’s hair will be supplied to the Canadian Cancer Society.
