Critical injuries following crash in Tilbury

A Comber man is in critical condition after a crash in Tilbury on Friday, which also involved a Wallaceburg man.

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials say on Friday, August 18 at approximately 11 p.m. emergency crews responded to a motor vehicle collision on Lyon Avenue and Pearl Street in Tilbury.

A 21-year-old Comber man who was riding his homemade motor bike, and allegedly ran into the passenger-side of a vehicle that was at the intersection of Lyon Ave. at Pearl St.

He was airlifted to London Health Sciences Centre and remains in critical condition.

His injuries are unknown at this time, police say.

The driver of the vehicle that was struck, a 52-year-old Wallaceburg man, suffered no injuries as a result of the collision.

Police are seeking the public’s assistance with this on-going investigation.
