The Dresden Terry Fox Run continues to grow stronger, year after year.

Local organizers say the 2016 results have been received from the provincial Terry Fox Foundation, and the news is amazing.

“The Dresden event closed with a remarkable total of $32,847.35… this was achieved by 352 participants and volunteers,” event organizers said in a press release.

“Our Dresden participants have now collected $534,035.23 for cancer research since our first run in 1996.”

Each year the Terry Fox Foundation publishes a list of ‘Top 20 Ontario Community Runs’ per capita.

“The Dresden Terry Fox Run achieved the #1 spot for their 2015 accomplishments and is thrilled to announce that we remained in the #1 spot for the second year in a row,” local organizers said.

The dates have been set for this year’s Terry Fox Run and the committee looks forward to welcoming another great crowd on Sunday, September 17.

Event details can be found on Facebook or at TerryFox.org.
