Breach and break-in charges in Wallaceburg

A Wallaceburg faces breach and break-in charges following an incident on the weekend.

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials say on Saturday, September 2, at around 3 p.m. a man attended a woman’s address and allegedly kicked in the door.

The woman was home at the time and demanded that he leave and he did, police allege.

Police were called, however, the man had already left the area prior to their arrival.

The man is presently on a probation order, police say.

Two conditions of that order are, not to communicate in any way with a woman that is known to him and not to attend within 50 meters of any place of that woman.

On Monday at 1 p.m. the 27-year-old Wallaceburg man was located in Wallaceburg.

He was arrested and charged with two counts of breach of probation and break and enter.

He was transported to Chatham-Kent Police Service Headquarters where he has been held for a bail hearing.
