Farm Show, Dresden Street Dance, Wolves ball game

– The 14th annual O’Neil Mini Farm Show is taking place on Saturday, September 9 at at Kim O’Neil’s Stewart Line farm. The event runs from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., rain or shine. Some of the activities includes tractor rides, face painting, vendors, stage coach rides, old cars, and a wood carver. Canned goods for the food bank are being accepted. A tractor ride will be taking place on Sunday as well from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., people are being encouraged to bring their tractor and take part in the fun. More details, here.

– The Dresden Sidestreet Youth Centre Street Dance will take place on Saturday. It is a FREE community dance, running from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m. on Main St. in downtown Dresden. Party Cinemas will be on location, playing all of your favourite music videos on the HUGE outdoor screen. Come on out for an awesome night of fun and a chance to win prizes.

– Dawn Valley United Church will hold their 128th Anniversary Musical Celebration on Sunday, September 10, featuring The Rockin; Oldies from the Ingersol area. A light supper will follow the musical presentation. There will be a free will offering. The event in Dawn-Euphemia gets started at 4 p.m.

– Looking ahead to next week, the Wallaceburg Wolves will hold their 2nd annual Baseball Challenge game on Tuesday, September 12. Community Living Wallaceburg are encouraging people to join the Community Team as they play a friendly game of baseball against the Wallaceburg Wolves, a team of individuals who have an intellectual or physical disability. The game runs from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Kinsmen Park in Wallaceburg.

– Author John Gardiner, of Wallaceburg, will be at the Wallaceburg Library on Thursday, September 14 to feature his brand new literary collection – Memories for Sale: Tales From A Small Town . The original art work for the book, created by Gardiner’s daughter rebecca, will also be on display. An opening reception will be held at 6:30 p.m. and all are wlecome to the free event.
