Seth snags second point, T.J. scores, Lakers & Kings set to battle

Griffith picks up an assist

Wallaceburg’s Seth Griffith picked up a point in his second consecutive pre-season game with the Buffalo Sabres on Tuesday.

Griffith assisted on a goal by Matt Tennyson, which tied the game at 3-3 with 2:45 left in regulation.

The Sabres ended up winning 4-3 in overtime.

Griffith was one of only two Sabres to play in back-to-back games.

He scored a goal on Monday against the Hurricanes, plus the one point against Pittsburgh.

Buffalo’s next pre-season game is Friday night in Toronto.

T.J scores

Dresden’s T.J Brodie scored a goal in the Calgary Flames’ first pre-season game of the season on Monday, a 5-2 loss to Edmonton.

Brodie had the one goal and was +1 in 22:58 minutes of ice time.

Calgary hosts Vancouver in their nest pre-season game on Wednesday night.

Lakers hosting the Kings

The battle of Highway 78 kicks off tonight in Wallaceburg, as the Dresden Kings come to town for the first time this season.

Dresden is 1-0-0 on the young season, having won their home opener on Friday night, 5-3 against Petrolia.

The Lakers are looking to rebound after a tough start to the season last weekend.

Wallaceburg lost two road games, 10-0 to Mooretown and 13-1 to Blenheim.

Puck drops at Wallaceburg Memorial Arena at 7:30 p.m.
