Olive Taylor of Wallaceburg

Taylor, Olive; on October 4, 2017 at Fairfield Park, Wallaceburg, in her 99th year. Olive passed peacefully.

Born in 1919 in Bookton, Ontario, she is predeceased by her beloved husband Robert William (1957) and by her parents Corley and Hebert Robins, as well as her seven brothers and one sister. Beloved mother of Kathryn (Dan) Jordan of Chatham, Jim (Lesley) Taylor and Susan (Luigi) Marcolin of Wallaceburg. Grandmother of Brian (Lisa), Rob (Jill), Tim, Bob (Nichole), Bill (April), Barb (Pat), Karen (Chris), Julia (Doug), Jessica (Andrew) and Andrew (Kelsey). Great grandmother to 21 great grandchildren.

Olive proudly served in the Royal Canadian Air Force during World War II. After her husband Bob’s tragic death, Olive learned to drive, found a job (one of many) and raised her children on her own. Life was tough but with her faith and kind spirit she did an excellent job. Sadly, dementia took her final years from us. She will be greatly missed.

The family will receive relatives and friends at the HAYCOCK-CAVANAGH FUNERAL HOME, 409 Nelson Street in Wallaceburg from 10 – 11 AM on Saturday, October 7 with the funeral to follow at 11 AM. Interment in Riverview Cemetery.
