Arrest made after Madi’s Milk scratch ticket theft

An arrest has been made after a tray of scratch tickets was stolen from Madi’s Milk in Wallaceburg.

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials say on Wednesday, October 4 at 5:10 p.m. an unknown man entered Madi’s Milk located at 208 Margaret Avenue in Wallaceburg and allegedly took an entire tray of scratch tickets.

The suspect then fled the area on a bicycle.

The value of tickets is estimated at $325.

The police issued a photo and press release, seeking the public’s assistance in identifying the man.

Yesterday at 10 a.m. a 33-year-old Walpole Island man was located, arrested and charged with theft under $5,000 and possession of property obtained by a crime under $5,000.

He was transported to Chatham-Kent Police Service Headquarters and later released with a court date of Thursday, October 12.
