Can you give Walker a furever home?

Walker is currently in a foster home but a furever is the best place for him!

Please read below for more information from the Wallaceburg Animal Shelter about Walker.

” Walker is approximately 2 years old. He looks to be a Foxhound or possibly a Treeing Walker Coonhound. He was rescued on the side of the road in March 2017, malnourished, full of anxiety and very skittish.

With much patience and continuous exercise, bits of training and LOTS of love and nurturing from his fosters he has become playful, loveable, and loves human contact and attention. He responds well to both women and men. Walker loves playing with other dogs, best with females or neutered males. When he sees kids he gets excited for the initial attention but would rather play with another dog.

Does not respond well to cats! He has lots of energy but can occupy himself for spurts. Walker’s forever family will need to ensure his training continues as he is a smart boy who loves to learn.

If you feel that you would be the perfect forever home. The shelter can be reached at 519-627-6722.”
