Tartans top Blenheim, clinch first in varsity football

The Wallaceburg Tartans topped the Blenheim Bobcats 37-14 in LKSSAA varsity football action on Wednesday.

Tanner Cole and Brody Genyn both scored two rushing TD’s for Wallaceburg, while Patrick Ezewski added one TD run.

Gabe Namink kicked three extra points and added two singles on kickoffs.

Dylan Denys led the defence with seven tackles.

Wallaceburg finished the regular season undefeated (3-0) in the three team league.

The Tartans will host the same Blenheim Bobcats in the league final on Saturday, November 4.

Jr. Tartans top the Hawks in girls hoops

The junior girls basketball team from WDSS topped the C-K Golden Hawks on Tuesday, October 17 by a score of 40-27. Abby Mahu led the way for the Tartans with 13 points, Sam St. Croix added 6 points for the Tartans. Last Thursday, the tartans fell to UCC, 38-26.

Sr. Tartans beat C-K in girls basketball

The Wallaceburg Tartans senior girls basketball team topped the C-K Golden Hawks on Tuesday, October 17, by a score of 57-39. Megan McCarte led the way for Wallaceburg with 16 points. Kaitlyn Quinlan scored 14 points and Brett Fischer added 10 points for Wallaceburg. Last Thursday, the Tartans topped the UCC Lancers 52-32. Fisher led the way with 13 points, while McCarter added 12 points.

Jr. Cards top NLSS

The Lambton-Kent Cardinals junior girls basketball team remains undefeated in LKSSAA ‘A’ action, after topping NLSS 53-29 on Tuesday. Last Thursday, the Cards topped Pain Court 53-18. The senior girls team beat up on NLSS on Tuesday, winning 61-27. Last Thursday, they fell to Paion Court 36-18.
