Careless driving charges have been laid after a crash involving a transport on the 401.
OPP officials say on October 18 at around 9:15 p.m. officers responded to a commercial motor vehicle collision on Highway 401 near Merlin Road.
OPP say investigation indicated that a westbound commercial motor vehicle had a lost control and came to rest in the north side ditch.
There were no injuries reported.
As a result, the male driver, a 25-year-old from Prince Edward Island, was charged with careless driving, contrary to the Highway Traffic Act.
Highway 401 westbound was closed for approximately 90 minutes to allow for the vehicle to be removed from the ditch.
