Wallaceburg’s Seth Griffith scored his first goal of the regular season for the Buffalo Sabres on Wednesday, October 25.
The tally for the 24-year-old forward came at the 17:26 mark of the third period against the Columbus Blue Jackets.
Griffith’s wrist shot found the top corner of the net, while his line-mate Johan Larsson provided a screen in front.
“It just gives our line confidence,” Griffith told reporters after the game about the goal.
“We had some chances throughout the game, but we just didn’t do a good job getting in front of (Blue Jackets goalie Sergei) Bobrovsky, but (Larsson) did a good job getting in front of him there, I don’t think he saw it. It just gives our line some confidence going into the next game.”
