Pilot makes emergency landing in Lambton

There were no injuries, after a pilot made an emergency landing with his plane in Lambton County late Thursday.

Lambton OPP officials say an emergency landing was declared.

However, the pilot walked away from the controlled landing, which took place in a corn field.

Reports say the incident happened at around 11 p.m.on Thursday in an area between Waubuno Road and Telfer Road, south of Sarnia.

It took emergency crews an hour and a half to find the male pilot during a search, when a firefighter spotted the man waving a flashlight on top of the plane, reports say.

St. Clair Township firefighters, Sarnia firefighters, OPP officers, Sarnia police officers and Walpole Island police also attended the scene.
