Carol Lois Pratt, a resident of Wallaceburg, after a long and valiant battle with cancer passed away with her family by her side at the Chatham-Kent Hospice on Friday, October 27, 2017 at the age of 66.
Carol is the daughter of Joan and the late Bill Gustin and daughter-in-law of Madeleine and the late Charles Pratt. Beloved wife of David. Loving mother of Steven and the late Sherry. Cherished grandmother of Michael (Kaitlyn), Nathan (Kayla), Landon and great grandmother of Olivia.
Dear sister of Tom and Alma, Gary and Judy, Joan and the late Will, the late Rob, Marty and Brenda, Mike, Don, Ginny and Arden, Steve and Trish, and sister-in-law of Paul and Caroline and Dianne and Bruce. She will also be missed by many nieces and nephews, friends and family.
The family will receive relatives and friends at the HAYCOCK-CAVANAGH FUNERAL HOME, 409 Nelson Street in Wallaceburg on Wednesday, November 1, 2017 from 7-9 PM. A private family interment at Riverview Cemetery will be held at a later date. If desired, remembrances to the United Way of Chatham-Kent’s newly established Pratt Family Charitable Endowment Fund may be left at the funeral home 519.627.3231.
The interest earned on donations to this fund will be invested in perpetuity into the Chatham-Kent community in Carol’s memory, ensuring the loving care that Carol provided throughout her life will remain for those who need it most.
