Indecent act charges laid in Wallaceburg

Indecent act and drug charges were laid in Wallaceburg on Tuesday afternoon.

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials say yesterday at 1:30 p.m. officers responded to the area of Tim Horton’s on Dufferin Avenue in Wallaceburg for a woman that had allegedly pulled her pants down, exposing her underwear to the public.

Officers located the woman on Lisgar Street and when they made attempts to speak with her, she allegedly exposed herself to them as well.

The 32-year-old Walpole Island woman was arrested and charged with committing an indecent act.

Police allege a search of the woman was conducted incident to arrest and morphine and pot were located on her.

Therefore, she was additionally arrested and charged with two counts of possession of a controlled substance.

She was transported to Chatham-Kent Police Service Headquarters where she has been held for a bail hearing.
