Five people are moving on to the finals of the Langstaff & Langstaff singing contest at the CBD Club in Wallaceburg.
Laurie McClure, Sylvie Arsenault, Amy Clara, Lucas Roe and Lisa Michaud received the highest marks from the judges on Friday night, in the first semi-final for the annual contest.
This year the event is sponsored by Grant Langstaff Construction and George Langstaff & Sons Construction.
They are putting up the $1,000 for first place and $500 for second place.
Co-operators is putting up $300 for third place.
The next semi-final takes place on November 10, with the finals taking place on November 17.
