Environment Canada still has a winter weather travel advisory in effect for Chatham-Kent.

Forecasters say snowfall and rapidly falling temperatures could affect road conditions this evening, November 9.

“A cold front currently tracking through Southern Ontario will rapidly drop temperatures below the freezing mark and change scattered rain showers to flurries this evening,” Environment Canada officials stated.

“As a result, untreated surfaces could become icy and slippery and affect the evening commute.”

Forecatsers say to continue to monitor alerts and forecasts issued by Environment Canada.

To report severe weather, send an email to ec.cpio-tempetes-ospc-storms.ec@canada.ca or tweet reports using #ONStorm.
