CIBC Dresden recently made a $1,000 donation to support the ‘Farm-to-School’ program offered in schools across Chatham-Kent.
Program organizers say the eight week program, which supports local producers and suppliers, provides students with daily servings of fresh fruits and vegetables.
“Children are coming to school hungry each day for a variety of reasons,” program officials said in a press release.
“Research shows that children who are provided with good nutritious food have improved attendance, are better able to concentration and are more attentive. Thanks to CIBC Dresden we are making a difference.”
