Critical injuries after crash in Chatham

A man is in critical condition, following a crash in Chatham on Tuesday.

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials say yesterday at 1:30 p.m. emergency crews responded to a motor vehicle collision on Keil Drive at McKinnon Drive in Chatham.

Police allege, a pick-up truck was travelling north on Keil Drive when a car travelling south, attempted to turn left onto McKinnon Drive and it was struck by the pick-up truck.

Minor injuries were reported by the driver of the pick-up truck, a 33-year-old Chatham man.

The driver of the car, a 62-year-old Blenheim man, and the passenger, a 63-year-old Blenheim man, were transported to the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance by ambulance.

The passenger was then transported to Victoria Hospital in London and is presently in critical condition.

The collision remains under investigation by the CKPS Traffic Unit.
