Dresden man faces stunt driving charges

A Dresden man faces stunt driving charges after a traffic stop on Tuesday.

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials say yesterday at 1 p.m. an officer on general patrol on Kent Bridge Road initiated a traffic stop when he observed a vehicle allegedly travelling at a high rate of speed.

The vehicle was travelling more than 50km/h over the posted 90km/h speed limit, police allege.

The 20-year-old Dresden man was charged with stunt driving by excessive speed.

His driver’s license was seized and the vehicle was impounded for seven days, police officials said.

The man is required to attend court on November 29, 2017.
