A Chatham woman faces drug trafficking charges after a bust on Thursday.
Chatham-Kent Police Service officials say last evening at approximately 5:45 p.m. members of the Chatham-Kent Police Service Intelligence Section executed the warrant at a Pine Street address in Chatham.
Police allege a systematic search of the residence resulted in over $4,000 in illicit drugs being seized, along with scales, packaging and a taser.
A 51-year-old Chatham woman was arrested and charged with the following offences:
– Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking: Cocaine
– Possession of a Controlled Substance: Oxycodone
– Possession of a Prohibited Weapon
– Possession of a Prohibited Weapon contrary to a Prohibition Order
She was transported to Chatham-Kent Police Service Headquarters and later released with a court date of Thursday, December 21, 2017.
