– The Junior Tartans also captured a SWOSSAA crown this week, beating Kingsville in the ‘AA” final on Thursday. The Tartans also captured the local Lambton-Kent ‘AA’ championship this week, beating LCCVI, 52-26.

– And finally, on the ice… the Dresden Kings lost two straight games, falling to Amherstburg 4-3 in overtime and 5-2 to Mooretown. Dresden did bounce back with a 7-2 win over Blenheim on Friday. Meanwhile, the Wallaceburg Lakers have lost 15 straight games, losing twice this week, 4-1 to Amherstburg and by a 9-2 score to Petrolia.
