A seven-year-old Wallaceburg girl, along with her aunt, have donated their locks to charity.

Callie VanDroffelaar told her mother Mary Ann Sterling, that the reason she wanted to donate her hair was to “be kind and help people.”

Callie’s donation of 8″ of hair on November 4 is her second hair donation in 18 months.

Her first donation was 10″ in length.

Callie’s mom said this recent donation was a special moment as Callie’s aunt, Danielle Van Mensel, also got her hair cut and will be donating it together with Callie.

Danielle’s donation was 10″ in length.

Both Callie and Danielle had their hair cut at Pashion Salon and Spa by stylist Ariel Lalonde.

Callie’s mom said Ariel did a fantastic job and both Callie and Danielle love their new cuts.

The donations are going to the Canadian Cancer Society’s Pantene Beautiful Lengths program.
