Eleanor May Dent (nee Moore), a resident of Wallaceburg, passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 19, 2017 at the CKHA Public General Campus, surrounded by her family. She was 90 years old.
Born in Chatham, Eleanor is the daughter of the late George Garfield and Grace Evelyn (Mills) Moore. Loving wife of the late John ‘Duffy’ Dent (2001). Dear mother of Ian Dent (Christine) and the late Michael Anthony Dent (1985). Grandmother to Erin & Nicole Dent. Sister of the late Clayton Moore, Morely Moore, Dorothy Holland, Beulah Holland, Orval Moore, Hazel Bessant, Reginald Moore, Carmen O’Grady & Mildred Laprise. Eleanor will be fondly remembered by her colourful jewelry, her fancy hats, her vast knowledge of golf rules and her vibrant cheerful smile. She was a woman who truly enjoyed life.
The HAYCOCK-CAVANAGH FUNERAL HOME, 409 Nelson Street in Wallaceburg has been entrusted with the arrangements. A private family interment will take place at Riverview Cemetery.
