Tara Vitek Ciarma

Surrounded by her loving family on Wednesday November 29th, 2017 at the Chatham-Kent Hospice, Tara Vitek Ciarma of Chatham, at the age of 40. Devoted and loving mother of JD and Caralina. Beloved wife and best friend of the late Rudy (2013). Cherished daughter of Don and Deb Vitek of Dresden and daughter-in-law of Joe and Mary Ciarma of La Salle, Quebec. Loving sister of Tiffany Francis and her husband Roger, and brother of Tim Vitek and his wife Shannon (MacFarlane). Dear Te-Te (aunt) of Pierce and Preston Francis. Also survived by her grandparents Isabel and Ken Murphy of Windsor. Tara had too many dear friends to name, but held them in her heart just the same.

Tara’s inviting smile, positive energy and zest for life was contagious. She led by example for her children, family and friends. She was a dedicated and well-respected colleague and gave 100% in everything she did. Tara faced her illness with tremendous dignity and grace and embraced her life’s journey with strength and determination. She was a bright light in our lives and will be missed more than words can say.

“When tomorrow starts without me, don’t think we’re far apart, for every time you think of me, I’m right there in your heart.”

Special thanks to Dr. J Wolting; the London Health Science Centre Melanoma team – specifically Dr. D. Logan, Dr. A. Lawendy, RN Nancy and Clinical Research Coordinator Al Gratton; CCAC Palliative Care Team NP Rita and RN Linda and many staff at Chatham Kent Hospice.
